MARK
MEITINE

Jazz with
character.

Mark Meitine is a Toronto-based jazz pianist, composer and bandleader whose musical world moves freely between jazz tradition, classical inspiration and rhythmic exploration.

Co-founder of MR Quartet and leader of the Mark Meitine Trio, he brings a distinctive voice to original compositions and inventive arrangements. His performances embrace swing, Latin rhythms, bossa nova, tango and blues — always with room for spontaneity and conversation.

His recent recording project, Sounds Like Kensington, captures the energy and intimacy of live music made with bassist Gordon Mowat and drummer Michael Kawabe at Toronto's Kensington Sound studio.
